How do you see art as incarnating the Holy Spirit and then living your art day-to-day?

What do you think?

  1. I believe we have a responsibility to show that the Holy Spirit exists, and it's purpose. The best way to do so is to live life to your fullest potential, never sitting on gifts that are given to you, as they are meant to be shared. To live it selfishly only spoils the outcome for all, including yourself, as it inhibits growth. Great topic! (Facebook group member)

  2. Art, to be is an expression of what is deepest in the soul-- so if the Holy Spirit is within, He will naturally be expressed whatever medium is used. Same in daily living.

  3. When we are rooted and grounded in Christ (the Anointing)--the Holy Spirit, we will produce good fruit in our Art, and like RJ said (above), be IN the Holy Spirit in not just our art, but our "everydays."

  4. Wow! That's a loaded question. I think that a relationship with the Spirit is so important to me as an artisan. More later.

  5. Since Art is one of the many gifts given to us, by God, we need to use it. There is truth to the saying, "use it or lose it," as gifts get better with practice/age. I believe that the expression of our arts are not there just for our fame/fortune, but to make others think, as well. How are YOU going to make others think about God? Sometimes silence (when looking at art) says a lot more than preaching.

  7. Sometimes a man can learn more for himself, than he can when being preached to. That can be through an expression of what he does, sees, OR hears. Some learn more by watching, others doing, and some by listening-while others it is a combination of items. And only God knows what can teach us what we need.
